Summary:
Seeking entry level associate to answer patient phone calls, work insurance claims, and collect patient balances. Position will report to the Controller and interact with various staff members and other sites.
Position requires careful attention to detail. Medical billing or knowledge is helpful, and verification experience is a must. Experience working for an insurance company and speaking directly with patients is required.
Specific duties include, but not limited to:
- Answering patient phone calls with billing inquiries
- Communicating with patients about benefits, balances, and any other questions/concerns
- Addressing claim denials and rejections that delay payment in order to ensure prompt resolution
- Obtaining compliance information from patients to get authorization on CPAP machines for various payers
- Assisting Patient Care staff members and Providers with a variety of patient questions and issues throughout the day
